Well-known family operation Hireways completed a move to a new site in Palmerston North, with a brand new purpose built building to facilitate and support the growing team and large hire fleet.
The building has been crafted around the modern working environment with larger open plan areas, and the popular smaller collaborative spaces placed strategically throughout the offices. Special attention was given to the acoustic performance of the space, and with the larger open plan floor spaces the obvious choice was an Acoufelt Quietback solution for the floors.
Canyon Quietback planks in two shade variants were selected for their design, and then installed in a herringbone pattern to create a subtle interest throughout.
Acoufelt Solid AP12 paneling was the product of choice for the acoustic wall treatments throughout, and in the boardroom environments these were cut down and paired with a negative detailing for a classy design feature.
A small area of Wood be Quiet was also installed creating the soft timber effect yet with high acoustic performance. With a big team – the kitchen was an important component to get right, and this was upgraded to a commercial specification for full catering capability. This space has used a porcelain timber effect tile throughout for a unique and softer appearance and small subway tiles where applicable on the walls and splash areas. For exterior patio areas, the Frenchmood collection was selected for natural aesthetic, and anti-slip surface. Kudos to a great project, and a space that’ll look good for many years to come.
